With over 170 000 people working in the creative industries and a total value-added exceeding $53 billion a year, the Government sees the creative economy as an area of huge potential growth. Events such as the Business of Design Week (bodw) in December - a flagship project of the Hong Kong Design Centre - serve to raise the city's international profile and help showcase local creative talent.
