Opened in parallel with the Kowloon Southern Link (KSL) in August, the new Austin Station is one of the stops on the 3.8-kilometre KSL which links the East Rail Line with the West Rail Line to provide northwest New Territories residents with a faster way of travelling to and from urban Kowloon.
